The order of teaching phonics is designed to align with Jolly phonics. As I have trained with Jolly phonics before, I find Jolly phonics songs are practical and enjoyable for kindergarten students.
/g/ as in guitar (Jolly phonics /r/ as in gurgles)
/o/ as in ostrich (Jolly phonics /o/ as in on-off)
/u/ as in umbrella (Jolly phonics /u/ as in up)
